Pornographic Woman

https://i.pinimg.com/1200x/13/92/67/13926761c4e31009f7ff273eb9ebd582.jpg
André Masson

A monster for Lost Girls.

A cascade of images and snippets of video, jerkily edited together, forming a gestalt organism: a pornographic woman. She is an amalgamation of a thousand parts. Blink and she changes. When a pornographic woman speaks it is clipped, inhuman, dripping with over-acted sycophancy—like an AI trained on sultry soundbites.

Pornographic women lurk in alleyways, abandoned buildings, and beneath flickering street lights. They sing a siren song to entice lonely, alienated girls to them. Victims cluster around the pornographic woman, entranced, touching themselves, but never each-other, and never ever her. A pornographic woman refuses to be touched; contact would reveal her insubstantiality, and break the illusion; touching a pornographic woman fractures her into a million component parts; her form loses cohesion, becomes protean.

Each pornographic woman has, for a heart, a cassette tape, a USB drive, a smutty magazine, or some other piece of wank material. Ripping it out of a pornographic woman kills her. The hearts make for a potent magical ingredient.

A pornographic woman's victims will fight viciously to defend her from attackers, and will resist attempts to rescue themselves.

Some wizards keep pornographic women as pets.

Pornographic Woman
No Stress or Conditions, can be taken out in a single hit. She's desire itself, and too unstable to recognize herself, and therefore immune to magic that aims for the will instead of flesh.
Siren Song: Faint moans and canned phrases. A tingle at the base of the spine. A sense of revulsion and yet also curiosity. Save with ESP or become entranced.
Overwhelm: An explosion of video and audio. A goon-session flood of fucking bodies, chopped up with rapid cuts. The pornographic woman will try to flee while her attacker is dazed.

Enthralled Victim
Stress: 8
Armor: 1.
Skill: Defending Her Lady at +3 (use for attack, defense and doing maneuvers that would redirect damage towards themselves).
Will immediately lose all Stress if they see the Woman for what she is.

Orcs: The Shadow of Wars Past

They slumber below the earth in ancient bunkers, vaults, and caches. Remnants of the total war that ended a past age. Indoctrinated, altered by surgeries and strange drug concoctions, the trauma of battle warping them still further; extreme xenophobia.

No one remembers the ideologies and nationalities for which they once fought, to the new people of the world they seem locked in incoherent blood feuds with one another. They cling to their regimental structures, "clans," as it were, the only source of cohesion left to them with demise of all they once knew.

They are stranded in an alien world. The new people are repulsive, mutated, and contaminated in their eyes. The very sun burns their pallid flesh during the day. They hide behind gas masks, armour, and clattering equipment.

They become marauding hordes, linking up with other remnants, carving out kingdoms for themselves. They take slaves, tribute, food. Some become mercenaries for the powers that be of the new world.

Dragons: White, Black, & Blue

White Dragon :

A fat, sluggish, crocodilian beast with beady red eyes that burrow into your soul. It waddles along, quicker than it seems at first, a roiling fog of liquid nitrogen spilling from its jag-toothed mouth.

Its breathe shatters metal. The water in your eyes freezes, lacerating the soft flesh. Cold burns scour your body. Appendages turn black, stiff with frostbite. You will likely survive the initial agony. That's alright. It's patient.

It will follow you, attacking where it can, watching you stumble as it tracks the heat of your body. It waits for you to collapse or be cornered. Once it eats, your flesh will sate it for a long while.

Black Wyrm :

Vitriol drips from its fangs, droplets of the limpid liquid smoking as it hits the ground.

A long, serpentine shape, ropy muscles twisted together; small almost stubby arms and legs. Its scales glisten; sometimes black, sometimes iridescent green. Its head rears up suddenly as it snakes around boulder and tree trunk. Acid drips from its fangs. It is a swift creature and strikes from ambush, a misting spray of acid. It lunges immediately after, trusting in its maw to finish what the chemical burns didn't.

Blue Dragon :

It arrives in a thunderclap that echoes across the open desert.

A figure of animate glass and fulgurite, its veins and organs are mapped out in coursing electricity and the odd enclave of flesh in the otherwise crystalline form. The air around it is tinged with ozone. It sees the electrical impulses firing in your nerves and hones in on them. Lighting arcing down from the sky alongside it to strike you, cooking you in an instant, then its upon you, snatching you up, cutting through your flesh with glass-knife teeth. Onlookers would be able to see the flesh forced down into its stomach through its transparent body.

Fog Giant - My Edition

Fog Giant

Loom out of the mist. Twice as tall as any man. Milky white skin, silvery white hair, black penetrating eyes. The jangle of baroque armaments.
  • Solitary, 1-6 might be encountered at time.
  • Keen sense of smell, rarely surprised (only on a 1 in 6). Can weave the mists about them and usually surprise their opponents.
  • Love massive ornate swords and make armour from white dragon hides studded with silver.
  • Fight with their favorite swords or with fists. Hurl boulders.
  • Speak a strange, isolate language; unintelligible even to their close kin.
  • Live under barrow mounds and in moorlands, marshes, swamps, dense forests, and cold sea coasts.
  • Shepherd the mists. After shearing they weave the fog into prized lightweight garments which carry brumes with the wearer.

The Grumpalous

undefined

Vague cousin to megatherium but fur a-shimmer with arcane hues and a mouth with teeth made for crushing and grinding bone. A single, sickle-like claw lazily picks its dentition. The beast waits for a wizard.
  • Stats as a bear or appropriate bear-like creature.
  • Preys upon wizards. Breaking bones and slurping out the magic. Smashing skulls open to gulp down the brains. The beast will learn a random spell from that which the magic-user knew. Loses it once cast.
  • Each skull cracked open and brain gulped down adds to their intelligence, they speak with cultivated airs and love to reference literature their victims once read.
  • Immune to magical weapons, which slide off their hide. This property lasts even through tanning though it dwindles over time.
  • Are good climbers.
  • Lair in ruined wizard towers (often the killers of the former occupants), and among hoards of magic items, the sort that will attract fresh prey. Some have been known to pay or intimidate wayward shepherds into spreading rumours to that end.

The Big Black Snake

A pipeline, hundreds of miles long, slithering across the landscape. Every creaking gasket of its many-jointed body leaks toxic sludge upon the earth. The ground churns, the plants wither, and the waters are poisoned with its passing.

Its head is a mass of megaphones and televisions, bulldozer blades and backhoe scoops. Alternatingly chewing a path and whispering honeyed songs of 'job growth' and 'cheap gas' to merchants and statesmen, easing its passage.

Minions, like melted riot police, oily black as tar, spawn from its leaking gaskets and move out in oozing phalanxes to beat back those that would stop the snakes progress.

It will slither ever forward unless slain. Beware its children who nest in the bowls of refinery sprawl.

Big Black Snake

10 HD, AC as plate, Save vs Churning Digging Equipment (head) or Crushing Coils (body)
  • Wants to slither onward, poisoning the land.
  • Spawns Tar Minions to protect itself.
  • Enlists the aid of the powerful with honeyed promises.

Tar Minions

1 HD, AC as Ooze, 1d6 atck (club), 3d10+ appearing (work in blocks)
  • Like melted, oily riot police.
  • Unwaveringly protect the snake.
  • Use shield wall and encirclement tactics.
  • Dangerously flammable.

LEKADS

Long ago upon an irradiated war-torn planet a sorcerer-scientist plotted to save his species, creating from the mutated population a lineage of xenophobic squid-things locked within armored shells. A perfect race in their estimate. And the damned things have stuck around ever since.

Lekad (warrior)

Hovering cone, eye-stalk protruding from dome head, plunger manipulator and ray-gun arms
  • Reactionary, xenophobic mutant squid-things locked in sturdy armour.
  • Their ray-guns kill or stun at range and preference.
  • Plunger manipulator grapples poorly but suffices for interaction.
  • Vulnerable to blinding and close range attack.

Subtypes

  • Coordinators
    • Big spherical head full of stratagems and orthodoxy.
    • Ringed with manipulator arms for maximum coordination.
    • Individually egotistically though this is a heresy.
  • Heavies
    • Driven insane by radiation, feared as abominations by the other soldiery.
    • No manipulator, only a heavy-duty ray-cannon.
    • Bulky, thickly armored shells resistant to most damage.
  • Drones
    • Dull, nearly mindless, perform rote maintenance tasks.
    • Two manipulators instead of a plunger and ray-gun.
    • Lose power if taken off their city conduit floors.
  • Slaves
    • Face shields to hide their 'ugliness' from the masters.
    • Psionic dampener helmets make them compliant.
    • Considered vulgar if necessary and useful.
  • Beasts
    • Genemodded mutant critters from their homeworld and the stars.
    • Specialized for tracking, guarding, or other capacities.
    • Controlled with obvious psionic collars, go feral if removed.

Statblock

5 HD, AC as Plate, 2d6 Ray-Gun Attack
Inner Creature : 1/2 HD, AC as Unarmored, 1d4 Strangle Attack

Running Lekads :

  • Reoccurring villain-of-the-week antagonists, let them become a known variable for players to manipulate, occasionally throw some sub-types or such in to mix it up.
  • Dangerous but easily thwartible, play up their goofiness but keep them deadly in a straight confrontation.
  • They have two modes, elaborate monologuing or amusingly abrupt declarations.
  • Shout TERMINATE! a lot.

Lekad Rumours :

  1. A distant emperor, arch-coordinator, commands the lekad imperium.
  2. Longstanding (and one sided) rivalry with a creed of robot men.
  3. In the recent past there was a fanatical civil war dividing the lekads in two, it still echoes on.
  4. Travel in teleporting invasion spheres and saucers.
  5. Their ancient creator controls them in secret from their laboratory-bunker.
  6. Whacking lekad armour at close range will knock it open, exposing the wriggling pilot.
  7. They are color coded into different caste-roles.
  8. Brutally factional over petty issues and differences.
  9. Hate change and difference to the point of refuting all but the most critical of improvements.
  10. Love to gloat, keep them talking to survive.

Kamadan - My Edition

Kamadan

Fearsome leopard, a mane of snakes sprouting from its shoulders
  • Breathes a sleepy miasma.
  • Drags slumbering victims back to its den to feast on dreams.
  • Attacks with claws, jaws, and fangs as a last resort.
  • Dream-pearls form round particularly indigestible dreams in its stomach.

Achaierai - My Edition

Achaierai

Devil bird possessing a spherical head-body atop four mighty legs
  • Brought up from some infernal realm long ago by onerous summonings.
  • Moves with long, speedy strides.
  • Attacks with its clawed legs each one as tough as a bull.
  • Its soft head-body is held high above most blows, and its legs are metallic.
  • In dire straits it vents a cloud of caustic black smoke and flees.

The Calythiop

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/784269793825128471/797277478339084358/IMG_20210109_013449.jpg
Art by the wonderful Locheil

If you've traveling upon the steppe you may have heard whispers of the Calythiop. A strange creature to be sure, camel bodied but possessing a human face and human hands. It is said to grant wishes. Shitty wishes. Really really shitty wishes. Most stories you hear of it recount how so and so's cousin was tempted by a Calythiop and then had drought for six months or so such. Still... Some people are desperate enough to strike deals with such creatures.

How does the Calythiop appear before you?
1. Whispering promises out of the darkness around your camp fire, only its face can be seen.
2. Swimming through your dreams as you sleep, showing you visages of your desires.
3. Following you, always on the edge of vision, waiting for you to confront it.
4. Sitting straight in your path, lazy moving its tail and picking its teeth.
5. Waiting for upon a mountaintop you feel inextricably drawn towards.
6. Being chased by the last person it screwed over with a wish.

What does it desire in return for your wish?
1. An incredibly rare golden furred marmot. Alive.
2. The magical amulet of a nearby wizard.
3. The flesh of your best horse.
4. The robes of a particular traveling holy man.
5. A tincture of a local noble's blood.
6. Your true name.

How does it screw you over?
1. Interprets your wish extremely literally: I wish I was rich, you become rich in the past tense.
2. Curses you with complications: a tax collector comes along and seizes all the gold you wished for.
3. Undoes your wish or takes the results back after a period of time.
4. Just straight up tries to kill you with how the wish is granted: gold brick hits you in the head.

** Authorial Note **
The legend of the Calythiop was first imparted by Ishthyromeda the steppe amazon to her friends whilst they travelled to an ancient mountain tomb. In the lands of the King Of Kings.

Salt Mummies

Those who in eternity serve the Salt God, he who Preserves, become Salt Mummies and are set to guard the ancient temples and preservation tombs of their faith. So long has it been since they were mummified that little of their faith remains. Yet they soldier on.

Ancient Iranian Salt Mine Mummies - Ancient History Encyclopedia

A Salt Mummy is created by first either drowning the volunteer (and they must be willing) in salt water or suffocating them. No blood must be spilled. Once deceased the body is carefully cut open and all the organs are removed and preserved in a canopic jar full of salt. Then the body itself is placed to mummify in a barrel or pit of salt.

On the third month of this process the body blemishes and wounds will began to knit and be filled by cysts of salt. When the entire body is intact the newly reborn Salt Mummy will awaken for eternity.

Despite their shriveled, papery form a Salt Mummy is very much alive and aware of their surroundings. They are lucid and usually well-spoken (seeing as only the most prestigious would be interred) and more often than not are polite and welcoming to visitors.

However they will fly murderous rages and easily butcher the unwary if you seek or have disturbed or profaned their sacred places.

As long as their canopic jar is intact a Salt Mummy cannot die. Any wounds they take will knit themselves over with salt cysts. Some of the more ancient ones have almost completely been replaced with salt. The others greatly honor these sorts for they have been replaced almost entirely with the truest essence of preservation.
